I'm a Christian, a wife & a homeschooling mommy to 3 in WA. Started this blog to record ups & downs of running...started training for marathon... injuries & physical therapy... I'm STILL trying to one day run the MARATHON but tweaking my focus to a longer training. I love to write. So here we are...

Well howdy that ... your painstakingly slow walk time is darn near close to my run time ... hehehe ...
nice try, amber!
NOT QUITE!

Hiya KT
you said
>hey is this a food journal?
I'm pretty food-obsessed, so journaling my eating habits seemed to make sense. But the real fun is insert amusing links
>but as days go by the knee is painful more of the day! aaaaagh!
Hmmm. Yeah, sounds like something that may not heal overnight. Ibuprofin is good... it's kept me from losing my mind the last few months!
>but, reading about your pain: I AM THANKFUL! i can lay down.
Anyone with any perspective ought to be thankful, I think... it could always be so much worse, you know? The only thing is- continuous pain can make make a person irrational, and lose focus... I have to sleep in a recliner every night, and that stinks, but I'm thankful anyway... although I have quite a bit of discomfort, I'm not in pain, at least not too often, for too long... and that's a blessing, I mean, how many people in the world can't say that???
>did you have an accident? are you outta work? Lord, pls heal this pain!
Thanks so much! No accident this, it happened on it's own, a disc in my cervical spine (at the base of my neck) is bulging out, and a nerve root is getting pinched there... shooting pains down my left arm, dull pain through my shoulder, tingling down my arm/hand/fingers... numbness... now in the last few days losing strength in my tricep, as the signal from my brain can't make it down to the muscle. {sigh}
I'm off work on sick leave, but it's a welcome break, I'd not had any time off since Christmas
>do you believe as your wife does, in Christ?
Yes, we are Lutherans, Americans living in the UK...
>i hope so! wow! what a difference Jesus made in my life!
Indeed! We are brother & sister then, huh?
Thanks for your prayers & comment, I appreciate them!
You have no where to go but up! Just keep moving, don't worry about the stats! God will provide, hopefully your knee pain will be a distant memory in a few weeks.
You go, girl! You've got spirit and chutzpah and I admire you every single step of the way.
This could be a good time to read up on how to run those races you're interested in, maybe? I just picked up a book the other day on running and although I seem to have little time to read it, even having it motivates me!
BTW, would it be OK if I linked to your blog? I so enjoy it... Won't do it unless you say it's OK tho'
Sarah
